Is your kid into old cars and trucks? Watch out.

Mine sure are!!! My son has one and wants more the only problem is that it cost good money to rebuild cars and trucks and a ton of time and a place to do it.

Here lays my son's biggest problem, Every thing's setting out side :( So anything that's not painted or protected starts rusting again. Plus his limited budget only allows a little work at a time to be done. I tried telling him to begin with to only do a small part at a time... but being the smart guy decided to tear the whole thing apart. and now its in a million pieces and may never see the day when its all back together. (65 El camino) Which is bad because he will most likely loose most of the small parts or forget how to put it back together after being apart for so long.

(3 years now)

So if anythings been learned from this experience is to only do a little at a time so you can continue to drive the car and enjoy it. Even if its primered who cares as long as its all together. I know he See's mine all done, those took years to do and ton's of cash and I always had a garage to do them in. So maybe someday he will get it back together? Or he will just have to sell it all taken apart.

The picture above are the inner fenders of the El camino, One of the few items done and ready for paint. Hopefully I will see the day soon when they are reinstalled and were ready to drop the engine back in? Until then I guess he still gets to drive mine !!!
