SBC 406 Engine Ready To Sell @ Swap Meet

Getting the SBC 406 engine ready to sell at a local up and coming swap meet. This is my SBC 406 engine that I had completely rebuilt and during the engine break in two lobes on the COMP CAMS mother thumper cam shaft went flat and and that was the end of that. Now the engine needs all new bearings installed and a new cam and lifters. So I am getting it ready to sell and move it on down the road, which is a real bummer as I have spent a lot of money on this engine and I will never recover this money. My recommendation is never buy a COMP CAMS anything. So I put everything back together so it's a complete engine for the next person, but it still will need new bearings installed. It's mounted on a engine cart so it will roll around very easy for us and the next guy at the swap meet if it sells and if not no biggie I will just list it on Craigslist and go from there.
Here are a few pictures of this bad boy!!!

1969 Chevrolet C20 Custom Camper Pick-Up

This is my Arizona truck that I have owned for 15 years now in 2015, It's far from perfect and it's no trailer queen. I drive it all the time in the summer but there are a few rules I do follow only on summer sunny days, NEVER IN THE RAIN if I can help it. NEVER in the winter after SALT has been put down on the roads. The bottom of the truck is as clean as the top so that's why I do what I do as far as the rules go. Plus RUST never sleeps and we do not need any of that stuff :o(

Anyway here are a few pictures of my truck and I hope you can appreciate all the work that I have done to it.

What Does the Future Hold for Our Kids and Us?

A question or two about the future of my kids and us tomorrow, next week, next year given current trends of gas prices, energy use, and mother nature.

A big question thats on my mine now that my daughters going to be having twins come next December.

Sky rocketing fuel prices!! Why because we each use so much that we don't even thing about it any more. A house with all the lights on, Appliances that run 24/7 like freezers, refrigerators, clocks, ceiling fans, etc. If we just look around us we see all the things that use energy that we just take for granted anymore because its become our way of life. In the not to distance future things are going to change and it scares me to think about it. What is life going to be like 20 years from now?

The united states has very little oil left, We get all of ours from other country's. What happens when theres no more to get. ?

Can we all get back to a more simple life with out all of the energy products that we become to expect and take for granted in our everyday lives?

Houston we have a problem!

I watch the history channel with the programs about oil consumption and the billions of barrels we use each day not to mention each year, And it scares me to think about my grand children and what there lives will be like at my ripe old age of 47?

What are we to do?

I've been buying the new fluorescent energy saving bulbs. They rock with energy savings but!!! Do a search on them, Now they say they pose a bigger risk of mercury contamination then we ever thought before after the bulbs are burned out and trashed or broken and the mercury is released into the environment.

Spending habits have changed over the last few months for me. Every week I watch my check get gobbled up for gas for our two cars and grocery's and it keeps getting worse every week.

It seems like everywhere.. State by state we all getting hammered by rain, floods, fires, earth quakes, tornado's its endless and now they say that the ice cap is melting faster than it ever has?

I don't think I've ever been a Doom and gloom kind of person, Nor do I want to become one. I just stand here looking around at whats going on around me.

Does anyone else see all of this or is it just me?

Looking for a bright tomorrow.
